San Francisco and Napa

There was no time left on the weekend to take care of my jetlag. I teamed up with 3 other ambassadors and we took the Caltrain and went straight to San Francisco in the morning. Ok, I was pretty dizzy in the morning but whatever… San Francsico seems to be an interesting city. We walked around for a while and thank god it was clearing up…. it was raining during the train ride. It’s funky to see these steep streets and thinking about Steve McQueen’s legendary chase. We actually passed the legendary corner where he kicks ass at 50mph…

We booked a room in a dorm for 22 bucks – Pacific Tradewinds – really cool staff! Of course we went out in the evening – rocking around in North Beach. We were in good company as a guy living in San Francisco showed us the cool places – Thanks Den! Especially the freaky dice game versus the chinese freak bar tender in Buddha bar was excellent fun!

Next day we went on a trip to Napa – for some wine tastings. We crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and I have to say that the views from there towards the bay are just outstanding. Wow. Napa was nice as well – even though the guys in the wineries talked too much and poured not enough wine ;-)

They do a good job there – but guys take it easy – you should not mess with some stone old French wineries! Anyhow they have some nice stuff there – check out Sideways to get an idea!
Today was my first working day in the Googleplex. People in my team are really really nice and did everything to make me feel at home! Thanks a lot guys! They also took me to a welcome lunch to Cafe 150 – located on the ground floor of our building – WHAT A FANTASTIC LUNCH! You probably heart a lot about google food – the food in my home office in Dublin is really good, but what they are kicking off there is just ultra violence – they had some special Thanksgiving menu today – omfg………….

Enuff! Pics later!
