OutRun, Santa Cruz and Halfmoon Bay
Yeah - who doesn’t remember the most fabulous racing game of all times: OutRun - of course on our beloved Amiga. I played it for so many hours, days and nights… pretty close to brain damage I would say. The whole game is engraved in my brain and everything got reactivated when we drove to Santa Cruz last weekend. I was like:
Me: Shit! This looks like OutRun!
Them: Like what?
OK - thats fine, but it was totally my first impression of Santa Cruz. Want a proof? There we go:

Nuff said? ;-)
Santa Cruz is really touristic - why do you build a rollercoaster right on the beach by the way? I will probably never understand this. Anyhow the feeling is quite nice. The girls went to the beach for grilling reasons and I started walking around on my own. Was watching surfers most of the time. I also went to this small but very nice surfing museum. Nice pictures there - surfing in the 40’s and so on. The vintage Hoodies and shirts there are just brilliant! We drove back home along the coast. So nice there. Beautiful beaches and views!
That was on Sunday. We went to Halfmoon Bay the day before - chilling on the beach. We also met some other guys from Stanford we knew from a night out in San Francisco through Lucie’s connections. Hi Wolfgang and Antonio!
It was also time for the “ultimate BeachSoccerGame”: Google vs. Stanford. We lost 2-5. Well deserved win guys! The direct counterattack after our 2-1 lead killed us!
well well.i had to look twice to this picture till i realized the authenticity.really a nice shot. hopr you’re doing well and the sun is shining ;-)
