Courmayeur-Voyeur
Urgs - yep - it took me a whole week to wrote something about the trip to Courmayeur. Most important conclusion: I belong to a beach and not to the mountains. I knew it before, but now I am even more sure. Don’t get me wrong - it was very nice! But it was just too cold :)
We went to the top of Mont Blank - well not the top, but to Point Helbronner @ 3462 meters. A view to die for! Bit chilly though: -18 degrees. Everything inside your nose was instantly frozen - weird feeling. It took this small clip… I know it’s shaky but it gives an impression… :)
We enjoyed a talk from Joe Simpson at the conference - Joe, the famous mountaineer. Well - I am not too sure about the effects of these “motivational speeches” - but his story is really impressive and he did a nice job on stage. I have to watch the movie now…
We made also a short trip to Chamonix. It’s basically 150 times nicer than Courmayeur - my impression. Very relaxing was our trip to Pré-Saint-Didier spa. Whirpools, aromatherapy, sauna and stuff like that. Highly recommended!
I will upload some pictures this evening…have to watch football soon! What a perfect matchday in the German Bundesliga. Bayern Munich got their asses kicked by Nürnberg! Fantastic! And the face of Rummenigge, Hoeneß and new old coach Ottmar Hitzfeld - delicious! And then the first win since 12 games for my team Borussia Mönchengladbach - how important that was! And then of course the last second goal of Berlin vs Hamburg - every Hamburg supporter had to swallow the most bitter pill ever. But I was happy :)
